Here are some notes on astronomy-related software and data reduction that I've put together over the years.

Most of these were last updated in 2017. I've tried to remove anything that's become obviously obsolete,^‡ but I make no guarantees.

• Tips for using IRAF's apall task for aperture extraction.
• HeNeAr and HgNeAr spectral atlases for wavelength calibration on the MMT Observatory's multi-fiber Hectospec spectrograph.
• My sky subtraction program “Hectosky,” designed for fiber spectra in regions with complicated background emission.
